Women's Basketball Edged By Austin College, 74-63

HOUSTON, TX- Women's Basketball fell to 3-9 (1-5 SCAC) after dropping a nail biter to the Austin College Kangaoos, 74-63.

The Celts would dig themselves into a 10-point hole to open the contest. However, St. Thomas would battle back and eventually take the lead after a Hayden Morin free throw would fall with 6:16 left in the half. A late run from Austin College would teeter the momentum back towards the Roos' as they headed into the break with a one-point advantage.

In the third quarter, the Celts would stay within striking distance for the entire frame. It wasn't until a 10-3 Austin College run to open the final quarter that St. Thomas would face a deficit they couldn't recover from.

The Celts will hit the road for another conference bout with Trinity University on Friday, January 21st in San Antonio, Texas.
