Texas Lutheran Volleyball drops pair of tough five-setters at SCAC Cross-Divisional

DENVER -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs dropped a couple of tough five-setters Saturday at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional No. 1 at Johnson & Wales University - Denver.
 
TLU lost to Trinity 25-27, 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 15-10 and fell to Austin College 18-25, 27-25, 18-25, 25-19, 15-7.
 
The losses dropped TLU to 8-7 overall and to 1-2 in the SCAC.
 
Against Trinity, Bryten Mitchan recorded 12 kills and five blocks, and Jaci Chambers collected 32 assists and 22 digs. Madison Weisinger added four blocks and nine kills. Paige Day served three aces and had 11 kills and 10 digs.
 
Against Austin, Day and Weisinger each grabbed 13 kills, and Lexi Morris recorded 33 digs. Chambers added 34 assists and 20 digs. Weisinger tallied six blocks.
 
The Bulldogs next play Tuesday with a 6 p.m. non-conference road match at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin.
