Tullis Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College Athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's soccer player Connor Tullis.

Tullis, a junior goalkeeper from Dallas, was honored by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference as this week's male Character and Community Award winner for his outstanding service both at Austin College, and dating back to his time in high school at Dallas Jesuit. Tullis has been active at Austin College, participating in an Adopt a Family program at Christmas, helping to provide gifts to a family in need during the holidays. Tullis also helped organize Blocks for Bekah, an event on campus to raise money for the family of former Austin College volleyball player Rebekah Bowden, who died in a car accident in 2018. On top of those service projects, Tullis has also organized a crawfish boil on campus to raise money for St. Jude's.

Tullis also serves on the Austin College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and is the College's male representative with the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference SAAC.

Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
