Women's XC Finishes 4th in 5K at UD Invitational

IRVING, Tex. - In their best finish of the year, the Women's Cross Country Kangaroos placed in the top half of a field filled with elite level Division III competition, including some familiar SCAC foes.

Eden Llamas broke yet another school record in her second consecutive meet, topping the charts of the Women's 5K with a time of 20:36.2.  Her finish was good enough for 7th place, and breaks her own Personal Record by 24.8 seconds.

Alex Quinn set a season best of 22:05.1, beating her previous time by 29.9 seconds set at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational.

Haleigh Hahn, Mailee Meiners, America Vallejo, Jaelin Gordon, and Nancy Coto all broke their personal records by a combined mark of 9:42.1, and coming off an illness, Brittany Lawrence finished 28th overall with a time of 22:58.1.

The Women's Team will have a week off to continue practicing for the SCAC Conference Championship meet at Stone Creek Golf Club in Sherman, TX on October 31.  The Women's 6-Kilometer Race is set to begin at 9:00 AM.
