Llamas Breaks College 6K Record at UIW Invitational

LIVE OAK, Tex. - After nearly a month of training, the Austin College Women's Cross Country Team traveled to Central Texas and raced in the University of Incarnate Word Invitational Women's 6-Kilometer Meet.

The Lady 'Roos posted their best performance of the year and look to be hitting their stride going into the SCAC Conference Meet at the end of the month.

Sophomore Eden Llamas broke the Austin College 6K record with a time of 24:20.4 (6:31/mile); nearly 2-minutes better than her record setting run last year.

Every Kangaroo Runner broke their personal best 6K time, with Brittany Lawrence posting the 11th best 6K in School History in her first competition at that distance and Jaelin Gordon crossing her first Intercollegiate finish line with a time of 31:51.4.

Austin College competes again this weekend in Irving, TX at the University of Dallas Invitational.  Race begins at 8:40 AM.
