Women's Cross Country Takes Fourth at Hardin-Simmons Meet

The Austin College women's cross country team had a strong showing on Saturday at the Hardin-Simmons Stampede, finishing fourth out of eight teams with four runners finishing in the top 25. Eden Llamas paced the 'Roos with a time of 20:36.05, good for 16th place.

Sally Kate Humphries placed 19th at the meet with a time of 21:01.17, and Alex Quinn and Hailee Meiners finished 21st and 22nd, respectively. Quinn finished with a time of 21:12.49, and Meiners had a time of 21:19.03 in the race. Amanda Goodson added a 30th place finish, and Zerlina Fung came in 31st.

Austin College boasted an average finishing time of 21:16.93. The men's cross country team also competed, but did not have enough runners to qualify despite a 12th place finish from Chris Burke, who came in with a time of 22:00.62.
