'Roos Roll in Home Finale

SHERMAN, Texas –The Austin College volleyball team was dominant in a 3-0 victory over visiting Arlington Baptist College on Thursday night as the 'Roos celebrated Senior Night in Hughey Gym. The 'Roos are now 14-14 overall on the year as they head into the final weekend of regular season Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

After pulling away for a 25-18 first set victory, the 'Roos cruised to a 25-8 victory in set two, using a .550 team hitting percentage to take full control. Austin College closed out the match with a 25-17 win in the third set to make it a clean sweep. Mayson Kennon paced the 'Roos with 12 kills, and Brooklyn Talley added a double-double with 21 assists and 10 digs. Aelyn Rodriguez had eight kills and three total blocks, while Hannah Arbaugh had five service aces in the match.

Mari Prazak led the 'Roos defensively with 22 digs, and with her second dig in the second set, she broke the 'Roo volleyball record for most digs in a single season for a freshman. Sam Fawcett also had a strong match for the 'Roos, finishing with 16 assists and five digs.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
