Volleyball Sweeps Belhaven and LeTourneau

The Austin College volleyball team won both of its games on the first day of Centenary's Halloween Invitational on Friday, topping Belhaven 3-1 and LeTourneau 3-0. The 'Roos are now 21-13 overall this season.

In the first match of the day, Katie Ingle surpassed the 2,000 career assist mark after totaling 47 in a 25-14, 24-26, 25-17, 26-24 victory over Belhaven. The 'Roos used a .289 team hitting percentage, with Rekebah Bowden's 17 kills and zero attacking errors leading the way. Madison Lee added 12 kills and six block assists, and Presleigh Watson had 10 kills and eight total blocks. Kayley LeBlanc had 13 digs to pace the 'Roos.

In the second match of the day, the 'Roos cruised to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-14 sweep over LeTourneau behind eight kills from Lee and seven from Watson. Ingle had 20 assists and six digs, and Madi McVay had 13 digs to lead Austin College.
