Volleyball Falls to No. 11 Texas-Dallas

The Austin College volleyball team dropped a tough non-conference road match at No. 11-ranked Texas-Dallas on Tuesday, falling 3-0 to the Comets. The 'Roos are now 7-4 overall this season.

The 'Roos battled UTD well through the first set, staying within a few points for the majority of the opener before the Comets pulled away for a 25-19 win. That gave the momentum to UTD, who won sets two and three by scores of 25-16 and 25-9, respectively. The Comets hit .444 as a team in the decisive third set.

Madison Lee had a strong match for Austin College, registering 14 kills with a .314 hitting percentage. Dani DeWitt added eight kills, and Katie Ingle had 27 assists. Four players reached double digits in digs, with Ingle recording 14 while Tatiana Ferrari had 17 to lead the 'Roos.
