Volleyball Drops Pair in California

The Austin College volleyball team dropped its final two matches in the team's weekend trip to California, falling 3-0 to Pomona-Pitzer and 3-1 to La Verne. The 'Roos are now 13-9 overall this season after a 1-3 weekend.

In the first match, the 'Roos fell by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-23 to Pomona-Pitzer, with Madison Lee totaling nine kills to lead Austin College. Rachel Fusselman had 14 digs and Katie Ingle had 14 assists to lead the way for the 'Roos, while Presleigh Watson had seven kills and five total blocks in the loss.

In the second match of the day, the 'Roos fell 25-22 in the first set before picking up a 25-23 win to even things up. However, La Verne would take the next two sets 25-20 and 25-19 to hand the 'Roos the loss. Lee had nine kills again to lead the 'Roos, and Dani DeWitt had eight kills in the loss. Ingle had six kills and 26 assists, and Watson and Reygan Holloman each had seven kills. Fusselman finished with 18 digs in the match.
