'Roos Earn Comeback Victory in Season Opener

The Austin College volleyball team fell behind by two sets but rallied for a 3-2 road victory over LeTourneau University on Tuesday night in Longview. With the win, head coach Ed Garza moves to 499 career victories at Austin College and will be shooting for 500 as the team returns home this weekend for the 20th Annual Austin College Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Rebekah Bowden had a big match for Austin College with 17 kills and just one hitting error, for a blazing hitting percentage of .696 for the match. Bowden added seven blocks in the win. Madi McVay had 10 kills and 10 digs, and Rachel Fusselman had 18 digs. Lauren Wulz led the team with 21 assists, and Katie Ingle added 19 assists, 11 digs, and six kills.
