The Austin College volleyball team fell 3-0 to Texas Lutheran in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday. The 'Roos finish the year with a record of 21-19 overall.
Austin College got up on the Bulldogs in the first set, taking a 15-11 lead before TLU battled back and took a 26-24 victory. The 'Roos then fell by scores of 25-22 and 25-22 in sets two and three, dropping a hard fought match in the 5th/6th place match.
Madison Lee had a strong performance for the 'Roos with 10 kills and seven digs, and Madi McVay finished with seven kills and 12 digs. Presleigh Watson had eight kills and four total blocks, and Rebekah Bowden added six kills. Rachel Fusselman led the 'Roos with 15 digs, and Lauren Wulz had 22 assists in the loss.
