Volleyball Celebrates Senior Night with 3-0 Victory

The Austin College volleyball team made its Senior Night a good one with a 3-0 victory over visiting Southwestern Christian University on Thursday night in Hughey Gym. The 'Roos improve to 16-14 overall with the victory.

The 'Roos topped the Eagles by scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-15, and used a 14-4 run to end the third set and clinch the victory. Shelby Eaves had a big game for the 'Roos with 19 kills and seven digs, while Bekah Newberry added seven kills in the match. Alyse Magnuson had 26 assists and seven digs and Alyson Hicks added six kills in the victory.

Tori Wallar had eight kills and seven digs, and Jessica Crenshaw had 20 assists and eight digs to lead Southwestern Christian.

Austin College is home again on Tuesday when the 'Roos play host to the University of Texas-Dallas at 7:00 p.m.
