Volleyball Splits with Colorado College and Centenary

The Austin College volleyball team split its matches against Colorado College and Centenary on Saturday, bringing the team's record to 11-8 overall and 2-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The 'Roos fell 3-1 to Colorado College before sweeping Centenary 3-0.

Against No. 11-ranked Colorado College, the 'Roos fell by scores of 17-25, 14-25, 25-16, 16-25. Shelby Eaves led the 'Roos with a match-high 22 kills and added nine digs, and Kelsey Klingler had 26 assists. Rachel Fusselman led the 'Roos with 26 digs, and Alyse Magnuson added 11 digs.

In the team's final match of the weekend, the 'Roos topped Centenary 25-16, 27-25, 25-17 behind 15 kills and 10 digs from Eaves and eight kills from Alyson Hicks. Klingler once again led the team with 27 assists and added nine digs, and Magnuson finished with nine digs as well.
