MARSHALL, Texas - The Austin College women's tennis team fell to 2-4 overall on the season after dropping an 8-1 decision at East Texas Baptist University on Friday night in non-conference action for the 'Roos.

MARSHALL, Texas - The Austin College women's tennis team fell to 2-4 overall on the season after dropping an 8-1 decision at East Texas Baptist University on Friday night in non-conference action for the 'Roos.

Phoebe Shapard delivered Austin College's lone victory in the match, picking up a 7-5, 6-4 win at number two singles. Shapard and Gigi Francis fell 8-6 at line one doubles, while Maya Leisey and Megan Morris lost 8-2 playing flight two. Madelin Hiler and Sierra Thomas dropped their line three doubles match 8-0.

Francis went down 4-6, 3-6 at number one singles, while Leisey fell 0-6, 3-6 at number three. Hiler dropped her number four match 1-6, 1-6, while Morris lost 1-6, 4-6 and Thomas was 0-6, 0-6 at number six singles.
