UTD Invite Ends Well for Women's Tennis

RICHARDSON, Tex. - Diana Carvajalino and Melody Duong supplanted themselves as a top threat in the upcoming ITA Southwest Regional Championships today with a strong performance in women's doubles against UT-Dallas.

  The duo defeated the top Comet team 8-5 to close out the UTD Invite after Carvajalino won her singles match against the top Eagles singles player from A&M Texarkana.

  Brenna McCown picked up her first singles win of 2018 6-1, 6-0 against TAMU-Texarkana, and Katie Seibert fought her Eagle opponent to a tough 6-4, 6-4 defeat.

  Austin College returns to the court in the aforementioned ITA Southwest Regional Championships in San Antonio this Friday, September 21st through Sunday, September 23rd with the champions of the singles and doubles draws earning a bid into the ITA Cup in Rome, GA in early October.
