2 Roos Singles Remain in Women's ITA

GEORGETOWN, Tx - Day 2 of the Women's ITA Southwest Regional Championship Tournament ended with 2 Roos advancing to the semi-finals of the A-Draw Consolation and B Draw Consolation.

  Meghan White started out hot up 4-0 Alex Rodriguez of UTT, but the match ended at 4-2 with White advancing by way of a medical withdrawal.

  A tough Schreiner opponent in Alex Wheeler awaited White in the Quarterfinals.  White grinded consistently deep into the court with her groundstrokes and approached to small target areas providing her plenty of opportunities to win points from the net.  White would win the match 6-2, 6-4.

  Meanwhile, Green and Lide would unfortunately face each other in the Round of 16, with Lide emerging victorious in a close 3-set contest.  Lide would not disappoint finding herself in another 3-setter against Doege from Hardin-Simmons, winning an "abbreviated" supertiebreaker 10-4.

  Lide and White both start at 9am tomorrow on the campus of Southwestern University.
