SHERMAN, TX – The Austin College Women's Tennis Team extended their winning streak to four-straight with a win today over the Comets from The University of Texas at Dallas.
With weather threatening to wash out the afternoon's matches, play started with singles and never reached doubles as the 'Roos clinched five points and the match decision en route to sweeping all six courts.
Magan Green and Anamariia Kheveli played nearly flawless tennis, dropping only two games a piece. Katie Barber extended her unbeaten singles record to 5-0 with a 6-2, 6-3 win at line 6 singles.
Kate Willis returned to the singles lineup for the first time since her win against Schreiner College in March, and looked great in her 6-2, 6-4 win at Line 2 singles. Grace Ortiz kept rolling in her stellar first season in collegiate tennis with a 6-2, 6-1 win at Line 3, and Meghan White is playing her best tennis of the year while besting Kulkarni of UTD at Line 1 6-1, 6-4.
Austin College will host Texas A&M – Texarkana tonight with matches starting at 6:00pm.
