Austin College Women in 7th After First Day of SCAC Championship

THE COLONY, Texas - The Austin College women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day one of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet in seventh place and will be looking to make a move on Thursday night as day two gets underway at the Lewisville Eastside Aquatic Center.

The 'Roos totaled 36 points through the meet's first two events, the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay. Austin College got a sixth place finish in the 200 medley relay, with the team of Jennifer Liang, Mandi Sarembock, Sophie Garriga, and Sarah Edzards touching with a time of 2:05.51. Unfortunately, the 'Roos saw their 800 free relay time get tossed aside due to a diqualification in the event.

Austin College will be back in the pool beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday as they look to gain ground and move up the standings as the meet continues.
