'Roos Shut Out at Texas Lutheran

SEGUIN, Texas - Texas Lutheran scored early and added three second half goals to top the Austin College women's soccer team on Friday evening in the team's first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match of the year. The 'Roos are now 2-7-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Texas Lutheran struck less than 10 minutes into the game to go ahead 1-0, and that's how things would stay heading into halftime. The margin remained one goal until the 61st minute, when the Bulldogs tallied to extend their lead, and five minutes later they'd strike again to go on top 3-0. Just under three minutes later, the Bulldogs found the back of the net again to make it a 4-0 game and that's how things would finish.

Texas Lutheran held a 20-to-14 advantage in shots, including 8-to-2 in shots on goal. Maya Erwin made four saves for the 'Roos, who now turn their attention to Southwestern on Sunday afternoon.
