'Roo Women Fall to No. 21-ranked Trinity

SHERMAN, Texas – The Austin College women's soccer team fell 4-0 to No. 21-ranked Trinity University on Friday night in Southern Collegiate Athletic Play, with the Tigers scoring twice in each half to hand the 'Roos the defeat. Austin College is now 0-8 overall and 0-4 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. 

After more than 30 minutes of scoreless action, Trinity broke through with the game's first goal in the 34th minute as Halleanne Dure scored off of a corner kick. The Tigers would add another goal nine minutes later, this time with Madison Horner finding the back of the net to make it 2-0 heading into halftime. 

Dure scored again in the 75th minute to make it a 3-0 game, and in the 85th minute the Tigers iced the game with a tally by Cece Hendricks. Trinity out-shot the 'Roos 31-3 in the game as Maya Erwin made nine saves for Austin College

The 'Roos are back in action on Sunday when they play host to Schreiner University with game time set for 2:00 p.m. 

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
