LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Austin College women's soccer players Erin Eckart and Maya Erwin have been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for the 2017 season, the league office has announced.
Eckart, a senior midfielder from Norman, Oklahoma, earned second team All-SCAC honors and completes her career having been named All-Conference in all four of her seasons at Austin College. Eckart played virtually every position on the field for Austin College throughout the year, leading the offensive attack on numerous occasions while also serving as one of the team's top defender when called upon.
Erwin, a freshman from Kyle, was a second team All-SCAC selection after leading the conference with 133 saves as the team's starting goalkeeper. Erwin had five games this season with more than 10 saves, and also had four shutouts on the year. She also earned SCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors once this season.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association.
