KERRVILLE, Texas - The Austin College women's soccer team fell in a 3-0 hole at halftime and was unable to climb out, falling 5-0 to Schreiner on Friday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 4-12 overall and 3-7 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
Schreiner tallied three times in a 15 minute span midway through the first half to get their commanding lead, scoring in the 15th minute to go on top 1-0 and adding goals in the 26th and 29th minutes to head into halftime with a three goal lead. The Mountaineers would score again in the 61st minute, and an own goal by the 'Roos at the 62:00 mark would make it a 5-0 final score.
Schreiner used a 13-4 shot advantage in the match, including an 8-1 edge in the first half. Maya Erwin made four saves in the net for Austin College.
