Women's Soccer Falls to Trinity in SCAC Semifinals

The Austin College women's soccer team saw its season come to a close on Saturday as the 'Roos fell to top-seeded Trinity University 7-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference semifinals. The 'Roos finish the year with a record of 11-10 overall.

The Tigers, who entered the tournament ranked No. 3 nationally, got on the board early with a goal in the 3rd minute of action, and it stayed 1-0 until Kelsey Falcone found the net for the second time with a goal in the 21st minute. The Tigers would add one more goal just before halftime to head into the break leading 3-0.

Austin College was unable to mount any offense in the game, as the 'Roos were held without a shot, and Trinity would tally four more times after the break with goals in the 50th, 53rd, 70th, and 79th minute. Trinity fired 38 shots, including 24 shots on goal, and Franchesca Lozoya made 15 saves in goal for the 'Roos.
