'Roo Women's Soccer Falls to UMHB

'Roo Women's Soccer Falls to UMHB

The Austin College women's soccer team fell behind early and was never able to recover, falling 2-0 on the road to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 4-2 on the year.

The Crusaders didn't waste much time getting on the scoreboard, tallying just 1:09 into the game on a goal by Cameron Shivers, and an 8-1 first half shot advantage by UMHB kept the 'Roos off the board heading into the half.

In the second half the Crusaders added another goal in the 54th minute of action to make it 2-0, and despite Austin College ramping up its offensive attack with a 7-5 shot advantage after the break the 'Roos were again unable to get on in the scoring column. Franchesca Lozoya made five saves for Austin College in the loss.

Austin College will get back into action next Friday when they host No. 2-ranked Trinity University.
