Women's Soccer Falls to ETBU, 1-0

The Austin College women's soccer team out-shot visiting East Texas Baptist 13-10 on Sunday but was unable to put one in the back of the net, falling to the Tigers 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 1-2 on the year with the loss.

Neither team was able to mount much of an attack in the early going, with possession mainly remaining in the midfield area. The Tigers finally managed to break free from the Austin College defense late in the opening half with Kelsey Biscoe punching home a rebound off a shot by Kia Jelly in the 39th minute of action.

That would be the only tally of the game despite seven shots for each team in the second half, as the 'Roos were shut out for the second time this season. Franchesca Lozoya made five saves coming off the bench in her first collegiate action as a goalkeeper for the 'Roos.

Austin College head to Conway, Arkansas on Tuesday to take on Hendrix College with game time set for 4:00 p.m.
