KERRVILLE, Texas - Reagan Chiaverini went off for a career-best 24 points and added 10 rebounds and five assists to lead the No. 5-seed Austin College women's basketball team to an 80-63 win at No. 4-seed Schreiner on Saturday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 6-4 on the year.

The 'Roos fell behind 18-17 after the first quarter and Schreiner extended the margin to 20-17 early in the second, but Austin College went on a 10-0 run and never looked back, winning the second quarter 24-13 to take a 10 point lead into the break. Austin College would never trail again in the game, leading by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter to win its only matchup this season with the Mountaineers.

Austin College shot 48.4% from the field and had a season-best 23 assists in the win, and also out-rebounded Schreiner, who have the league's leading rebounder in Sydney Williams, 43-to-33. The 'Roos also dominated in the paint, outscoring the Mountaineers 46-20 in that category, and held Schreiner to 33.3% shooting as a team.

Chiaverini, who twice notched a career-high with 22 points earlier this season before establishing a new personal best on Saturday, made 9-of-13 shots including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc to get her 24. Ally Longaker added 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, pulling down eight rebounds and handing out five assists. Kacie West chipped in 10 points and seven boards, and Addison Walling had a strong all-around game with six points, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists.

Austin College will head to San Antonio next weekend, where they'll take on No. 1-seed Trinity in a rematch of last year's SCAC Championship.
