Women's Hoops Enters WBCA Top 25

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College women's basketball team has received more recognition for their 11-0 start to the 2019-20 campaign, entering this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 with a ranking of No. 22 nationally in NCAA Division III.

This is the second national ranking the 'Roos have received in as many days, having come in at No. 18 in the D3Hoops.com poll released last night. This marks the first time in program history that the Austin College women's basketball team has been ranked in both the WBCA and D3Hoops polls simutaneously. The 'Roos are coming off a strong week in which they defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor, previously ranked No. 5 in the D3Hoops poll and No. 8 by the WBCA, as well as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foes Colorado College and Johnson & Wales.

The 'Roos are back in action this weekend when they take on Schreiner University on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. and then square off against Trinity University, who came in at No. 21 in the WBCA poll this week, at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will be played in Hughey Gym.
