'Roos Crack D3Hoops Top 25

SHERMAN, Texas – For the first time in the D3Hoops.com era, the Austin College women's basketball team finds itself ranked in the national top 25. After receiving votes in the preseason, the 'Roos are now ranked No. 19 in the nation.

D3Hoops began ranking teams in the 1999-2000 season, but after a 4-0 start to the season this week marks the first time the 'Roos have been ranked in the top 25. Austin College has won at least 18 games in each of the last three years, but this year's 4-0 start is the program's best since the 1997-98 season. The 'Roos have topped Howard Payne, Millsaps, Hendrix, and nationally ranked UT-Dallas this season.

Led by All-American forward Bryce Frank and senior guard Ann Savage, the 'Roos will look to keep their unbeaten start to the season intact on Friday when they host Millsaps at 6:00 p.m. in Hughey Gym.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
