Frank and Heitmeier Lead 'Roos to First Win of Season

Bryce Frank scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, and Kendall Heitmeier added 16 points of her own as Austin College came from behind in the fourth quarter to top Millsaps 62-60 to get to 1-1 on the year. The 'Roos will play their second game of the SAA/SCAC Challenge on Sunday when they face Hendrix.

After trailing 34-30 at halftime, Austin College found itself in a 51-41 hole heading into the fourth quarter. However, the 'Roos held the Majors to just 3-of-12 shooting in the final quarter, and Frank and Heitmeier combined to score 15 points to help Austin College overcome the deficit.

Austin College trailed 60-57 with under a minute left, but Meghan Lewis knocked down a pair of free throws to pull the 'Roos to within one and Frank finished a three-point-play as time expired to give Austin College the victory.

Frank hit 7-of-11 shots from the field and Heitmeier knocked down three triples in the game. Caitlyn Collins came off the bench to chip in nine points, adding three assists and two steals. Lewis and Olivia Cicci each scored six in the victory. Frank, Lewis, and Olivia Bailey each had three assists in the game.
