The Austin College women's basketball team held off No. 21-ranked Trinity 70-67 in overtime, giving the 'Roos their second win over a top 25 team this season. The 'Roos, who improve to 12-7 overall and 6-3 in SCAC play, previously defeated No. 6 UT-Tyler earlier this season.

Kali Vittallo scored 17 points and dished out four assists to pace the 'Roos, who trailed 31-28 at halftime. Trinity extended its lead to 49-41 after three quarters before Austin College came roaring back, with Vittallo knocking down a pair of threes and Bryce Frank scoring five points during an 11-2 run that gave the 'Roos a 52-51 lead with 2:57 to play.

Trinity took a 54-52 lead with a minute to play before a three from Kendall Heitmeier put Austin College ahead by one with 25 seconds left, and after Trinity knocked down two free throws to reclaim the lead with 10 seconds on the clock, Vittallo drew a foul and hit a free throw to send the game to overtime with the score squared at 56 apiece.

Austin College scored the first six points of overtime, but Trinity answered back with six quick points to tie things at 62 with 2:44 left in the extra frame. Frank and Katie Gowdy combined for the next seven points as Austin College took a 69-62 lead, and the 'Roos were able to hold off a late comeback bid by the Tigers to get the three point road victory.

Vittallo knocked down 6-of-10 field goals and 3-of-6 threes, while Frank finished with 13 points off the bench. Heitmeier hit 3-of-3 triples on her way to 11 points, adding six rebounds and three assists in the victory.
