The Austin College women's basketball team trailed 37-29 at halftime, and the team's second half comeback bid fell just short in a 68-64 loss against Schreiner on Saturday. The 'Roos are now 10-13 overall and 5-8 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Schreiner came out blazing hot, shooting 59.1% from the field in the first half to grab the eight point halftime lead despite 11 first half points from Kendall Heitmeier. The 'Roos hit 5-of-10 threes and limited Schreiner to 33.3% shooting after the break, but could not overcome the halftime deficit. Heitmeier finished with 20 points, and Christina Kime scored all 11 of her points in the second half.

Kali Vittallo added 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists in the loss for the 'Roos, who head into this weekend's game against the University of Dallas trying to clinch the No. 5-seed in the SCAC Tournament.
