'Roo Women's Hoops Earns No. 3-seed in SCAC Tournament

With a win over Centenary on Saturday, the Austin College women's basketball team locked up the No. 3-seed in the upcoming Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. The 'Roos, who were picked by the league's coaches to finish sixth in the preseason poll, finished the year with an overall record of 11-14 and a conference mark of 5-10 to finish third in the league.

Brittany Stepanski scored 25 points and Erin Riley added a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Shayna Clardy just missed out on a double-double of her own with 13 points and nine boards against Centenary. Christina Kime also turned in a strong overall performance with nine points, eight assists, and five rebounds.

The 'Roos will take on Colorado College, the No. 6-seed in the SCAC Tournament, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday as Austin College plays host to both the men's and women's conference tournaments.
