More records fell for the Austin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams on the final day of the 2015 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, with each team finishing fifth overall in the meet.

The women's team finished the championship with 243 total points, and on Saturday, Lauren Wheeler continued her outstanding performance with two more record setting swims. Wheeler set a new school record on the lead leg of the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 54.20, and Sophie Anderson, Sarah Mann, and Caitlyn Brugger joined her to finish sixth in the event with a time of 3:53.04. Wheeler also broke her own program record in the 200 backstroke, finishing fourth in the event with a time of 2:06.50.

Margaux McCartney closed out her outstanding first year with a sixth place finish in the 3-meter diving event, and Anderson added a 10th place finish with Mann taking 12th in the 1650 freestyle. Anderson finished with a time of 19:49.11, and Mann came in with a time of 20:42.29.

Mandi Sarembock and Simran Likhari also turned in strong swims in the 200 breaststroke, finishing ninth and 10th, respectively, with times of 2:52.00 and 2:52.26.

On the men's side, the team finished with 264 points after Braedon Mitchell set a new school record in the 200 backstroke, finishing sixth overall with a time of 1:56.62, and Erik Gentzel took 10th in the same event. Amit Pullarkat also advanced to the finals of the 200 butterfly, finishing eighth with a time of 2:03.23. Josh Chanin and Collin Vu also scored points for the 'Roos, with Chanin finishing 10th in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:15.60, wihle Vu was 11th in the 100 freestyle and set a new school record in the event with a time of 47.84.

The 400 freestyle relay team of Mitchell, Jake Cole, Gentzel, and Vu set yet another program record with a time of 4:14.38, placing fifth overall at the championship. In all, the men's team broke five of five relay records, and overall, the men's and women's teams established 17 new Austin College records.
