Collin Vu and Lauren Wheeler were two of several Austin College men's and women's swimmers who set new program bests on day two of the 2015 SCAC Championship Meet on Thursday, as both the men and women finished the day in fifth place for the championship.

Vu broke a 22 year old record in the 500 freestyle, coming in with a time of 4:52.31, and he set another record in the 50 freestyle as the lead leg in the team's 200 freestyle relay. Vu finished his leg with a time of 21.80 for the 'Roos, as Vu, Parker Adams, Braedon Mitchell, and Erik Gentzel finished fifth in the event with a time of 1:27.95.

Josh Chanin broke his own school record in the 200 individual medley, finishing with a time of 2:01.67 in the morning prelims before finishing 12th in the finals.

On the women's side, Wheeler added another record to her resume, this time as the lead leg of the 200 freestyle relay. Wheeler's time of 24.64 sets a new 50 freestyle record for the 'Roos. She was joined by Caitlyn Brugger, Sarah Mann, and Simran Likhari for a sixth place finish in the event. Margaux McCartney took seventh place in the 1-meter diving event, while Sophie Anderson and Mann each set new personal bests in the 500 freestyle.

The championship continues all day Friday and Saturday in Rockwall.
