Men's Cross Country Places 5th at SCAC Championships

KERRVILLE, Texas - The Austin College men's cross country team had its best Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference finish ever, placing fifth at the 2018 conference championships on the campus of Schreiner University.

Charlie McIntyre paced Austin College with an 18th place finish, coming in with a time of 27:44.7, a new personal best in the 8K. RJ Navarro came in 24th with a time of 28:12.6, while Johnny Biffar was 31st with a time of 29:17. The 'Roos also got a strong performance from Andrew Thomas, who set a new personal record with a time of 29:33.3, good for 35th place at the meet. Chris Biffar rounded out the top five finishers for Austin College, crossing with a time of 30:35.2 to claim 41st place.

Overall, the 'Roos came in ahead of three other SCAC programs, including the University of Dallas, Texas Lutheran, and Schreiner.
