Men's Cross Country Finishes 6th at SCAC Championship Meet

The Austin College men's cross country team surpassed last season's finish with a 6th place showing at the 2016 SCAC Championship Meet on Saturday morning. The 'Roos ran well to improve on last season's seventh place finish.

Matthew Gregory paced the 'Roos with a 23rd place finish, coming in with a time of 28:52.66 as the 'Roos compiled 154 team points, just 16 behind the fifth place team and 30 ahead of seventh place. Jeff Kubena, last year's top finisher for Austin College, placed 28th overall this year with a time of 30:38.86, and Jimmy Ding placed 32nd overall.

Ding finished with a time of 31:38.35, while Cody Meyers placed 34th with a time of 32:55.44 for the 'Roos. Juan Sanchez rounded out Austin College's top five finishers with a time of 33:23.27, good for 37th place overall.
