Three-for-Three: Men's Tennis Claims Third Consecutive 3rd-Place

DENISON, Tex. - Over at the Smith Tennis Center in Denison, Texas, the Austin College Kangaroos locked up third-place in the SCAC Tournament relatively effortlessly; dispatching Schreiner 5-0 without dropping a set.

  Doubles competition went smoothly for AC, winning all three lines 8-2, and setting themselves up with a 3-0 lead heading into singles.

  From there, it was all Seniors, as Josh Granberry won 6-2, 7-5 at Line 1 Singles just moments before Kenneth Hardy won 6-3, 6-1 at Line 3 Singles for the clinch.  Granberry was unblemished in SCAC Tournament Singles play, as he won two matches in straight sets at Line 1, and won the first set over his opponent in the semi-finals.

  Shortly thereafter, AC logged victories at Line 2 from Brett O'Brien, Line 4 from Andres Padilla, and Line 5 from Calum Robe.  The score would finish 8-0 in favor of Austin College, and the Men's Tennis Team finishes 8-8 (5-2 SCAC) on the season.
