SHERMAN, Texas - This weekend, Austin College will be welcoming the men's and women's tennis teams from throughout the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference as the 'Roos play host to the 2019 SCAC Tennis Championships from April 19-21.
Both the men's and women's tournaments will be held on the newly renovated Russell Tennis Center courts, as well as the Smith Tennis Center in Denison, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The women will kick things off for the morning sessions on both Friday and Saturday, while the men's teams will take to the courts beginning at 2:00 p.m. both afternoons. On Sunday, the men's and women's championship matches will take place simultaneously at 9:00 a.m.
The Austin College men and women each earned the No. 3-seed in this year's tournament, and both teams will face No. 6-seed Texas Lutheran at the Russell Tennis Center. Admission is free for all sessions of this weekend's championships.
