Men's Tennis Defeated 8-1 by Seminole State to Close Successful Fall Season

SHERMAN, Tex. - The Austin College Men's Tennis Team concluded their fall competitions with a victory.

Though the team would fall 8-1 to the Seminole State College Trojans, Erik Meendsen would win 9-8 (8-6) as the last match on court for the Kangaroos.  Meendsen would fend off 2 match-points down 4-6 in the tiebreaker to win 4 straight points for the victory.

Meendsen and Preston Glasscock played great doubles for the first 9 games, but a more talented team at Line 2 Doubles would rattle off 4 straight games to win 8-5.

Jacob Morgan would see his first singles competition of the fall, and battle a tough opponent to a 6-4, 6-1 decision at Line 5.

Cedric Ambulo played his best Singles of his career in pushing a talented Stefan Gonzalez to a 7-5, 6-1 decision at Line 1 Singles.

All Kangaroo tennis players would play at least one match in the contest, gaining some meaningful experience for the Spring.

The 'Roos are off until 2/6/15 at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX.
