The Austin College men's tennis team took a 5-4 victory over Southwestern University on Sunday, bring the team's record to 3-11 overall this season. The 'Roos took two of three doubles matches, while Jeffrey Kubena, Jack Kunde, and David Smith all won in singles action.
In doubles play, the team of Adam Dokos and Cedric Ambulo took a tough 8-6 victory at flight one, and Smith and Nick Diaz teamed at number three doubles to battle to an 8-5 victory. In singles play, Kubena won in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-4 at flight four, while Kunde won number five singles 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 and Smith battled back to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 at number six singles.
