'Roos Swim Well on Day Two of SCAC Championships

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each find themselves in fifth place after two days at the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet, and will be heading into day three looking to make a move in the standings.

The 'Roos notched their first medal of the meet on Wednesday, as the men's 200 free relay team of Chris Brown, Colton Baker, Tanner O'Dwyer, and Max Saenz finished third with a time of 1:28.03, earning them All-Conference honors. On the women's side, the team of Chloe Hunt, Sophie Garriga, Lexi Wong, and Brooke Le took fifth in the 200 free relay. Hunt added an eighth place finish in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:17.41, while Chris Brown was fourth in that same event on the men's side, finishing with a time of 1:55.86.

Through two days of competition, the 'Roo women have 138 points, just 22 behind fourth place Centenary. On the men's side, the 'Roos have totaled 129 points and will be looking to chip away with strong performances on Friday.
