'Roos Dominant in Win Over McMurry

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams put in dominant performances against visiting McMurry on Saturday in Hannah Natatorium, with the men winning 152-67 while the women cruised to a 153-43 victory.

The 'Roo men and women each had a number of first place finishes, starting off with both teams winning the 200 medley relay to open the meet. On the men's side Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Max Saenz, and Zach Magers finished nearly nine seconds ahead of the second place team, touching with a time of 1:44.14 in the event, while the women's team of Jennifer Liang, Lexi Wong, Sophie Garriga, and Brooke Le came in with a time of 2:02.77.

Jade Kemp came in with a first place finish in the women's 1000 freestyle, and Claudia Theriot added a first place finish in the 200 freestyle. Brady Sullivan won the 200 freestyle on the men's side, and Le and Saenz each won the 50 freestyle for the women and men, respectively. Chloe Hunt finished with a time of 2:24.89 to take first in the 200 individual medley, and Chris Brown captured first in that event on the men's side with a time of 2:06.96.

Saenz won again in the 200 fly, coming in with a time of 2:08.73, while Hunt placed first for the women in the 100 freestyle with a time of 59.92. Sullivan took first in that event for the men with a time of 50.19, and Kemp and Chris Brown swept the 200 backstroke for the women and men, respectively. Lula Wallace won the 500 freestyle for the women with a time of 6:02.26, while Wong won the 200 breaststroke and Tyler Brown took first in that same event for the men. 

The men and women capped off the meet by each taking first in the 200 free relay, with the women's team of Kemp, Garriga, Hunt, and Le coming in with a time of 1:50.96 while the men's team of Sullivan, Charles Smith, Tanner O'Dwyer, and Colton Baker touched with a time of 1:33.02.
