'Roo Swimming Falls at Southwestern

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Austin College men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell at Southwestern on Saturday, with the men falling 188-89 while the women lost 203-74.

On the men's side, the 'Roos got a first place finish from Chris Brown in the 200 individual medley, as Brown touched in a time of 2:04.36 in the event, and Colton Baker won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. Brown added a second place finish in the 200 backstroke, coming in with a time of 2:03.39, and Brady Sullivan added a second place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.35. Chris Hill also gave the 'Roos a second place finish, touching in a time of 22.42 in the 50 freestyle, while Max Saenz finished just behind him with a time of 22.46. Tyler Brown had a strong showing in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:02.93 to take second place. Chris Brown added one more second place finish in the 100 backstroke, coming in with a time of 54.77 in the event.

For the women, Brooke Le delivered a first place finish in the 50 freestyle, coming in with a time of 26.15, and Chloe Hunt added a second place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.71. Le finished just behind Hunt in the event, finishing with a time of 58.63. Hunt had another second place finish in the 200 IM, touching with a time of 2:22.12, and Sophie Garriga's time of 2:31.66 in the 200 butterfly was also good for second place. Lexi Wong added a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:15.06.
