SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team got some strong performances but came up short, falling 151-107 against visiting Southwestern University on Saturday afternoon in Hannah Natatorium.
Austin College got several first place finishes over the course of the meet, with Chris Brown placing first in the 500 free with a time of 5:07.83 while Tyler Brown was first in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.61. Chris Brown also had a first place finish in the 100 yard backstroke, coming in with a time of 53.68. Collin Vu had a pair of first place finishes as well, first with a time of 22.20 in the 50 free and then with a 55.12 time in the 100 yard butterfly.
The team of Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Vu, and Nic Cappellini placed second in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.97, and Chris Brown, Colton Baker, Jason Chen, and Tyler Brown came in with a time of 1:33.19 to take second in the 200 free relay.
