Men's Swimming Bests Ozarks, Falls to Colorado College

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team was dominant in a 162.00-44.00 victory over the University of Ozarks, but fell short against Colorado College 136.00-90.00 on Saturday afternoon in Hannah Natatorium.

The 'Roos got a number of strong performances in the double dual event, with the team of Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Collin Vu, and Nic Cappellini taking first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:40.47. Vu also touched first in the 50 freestyle, finishing with a time of 21.76, just a few tenths of a second off his own program record in the event. Vu added yet another first place finish in the 100 yard butterly, finishing with a time of 54.88. Chris Brown was another first place finisher, placing in the top spot in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 54.52.

Rounding out the top finishers for Austin College, Tyler Brown won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.40. Jason Chen added a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 52.60, and the team of Zach Magers, Alex Lou, Eric Brown, and Chen finished second in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:37.82. Chris Brown also finished second in the 200 yard individual medley, touching with a time of 2:04.12.
