SHREVEPORT, La. - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team fell 80-61 at Centenary College on Saturday in the team's final meet before the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet.
Austin College had several strong performances throughout the meet, including a victory in the 200 medley relay with the team of Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Collin Vu, and Eric Brown finishing in a time of 1:41.18, with Vu following up that swim with a first place finish in the 50 free, coming in with a time of 21.92.
Chris Brown added a 200 IM win with a time of 2:04.08, and the freshman added another victory in the 100 back, touching with a time of 56.95, more than four seconds faster than his closest competitor. Tyler Brown rounded out the first place finishes for Austin College with a 1:03.90 performance in the 100 yard breaststroke.
