Men's Swimming Cruises Past St. Gregory's

The Austin College men's swimming and diving team easily out-paced visiting St. Gregory's on Saturday in a home meet in Hannah Natatorium, coming away with a 104-33 victory. The 'Roos had several strong performances to set the pace in the win.

The team of Chris Brown, Tyler Brown, Collin Vu, and Nic Cappellini got things off to a strong start in the first men's event of the meet, winning the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:40.63. That time was nearly 15 seconds better than the second place finisher. Tyler Brown also earned a first place finish in the 200 freestyle, touching with a time of 1:51.63.

Vu added a win in the 50 freestyle, coming in with a time of 22.06, and had another victory in the 100 butterfly. That event was won with a time of 54.77. Colton Baker, meanwhile, scored first place points with a score of 158.75 in the 1-meter diving event.
