Swimming & Diving Has Combined 5th Place Finish at SCAC Championship

LEWISVILLE, Texas - The Austin College men's swimming and diving team placed fifth, and the women finished sixth for a combined place of fifth at the 2016 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championship.

Sarah Mann placed eighth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 20:44.11, and Lauren Wheeler was fifth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.39 to lead the women. On the men's side, Amit Pullarkat placed seventh in the 200 butterfly, finishing with a time of 2:03.32, and the men's 400 freestyle relay team of Erik Gentzel, Jake Cole, Tyler Brown, and Collin Vu finished fifth with a time of 3:18.49.

The women's 400 freestyle relay team of Wheeler, Mann, Bailey Clark, and Caitlyn Brugger came in sixth, finishing with a time of 4:00.42. 

Parker Adams earned All-SCAC honors in the men's 3-meter diving competition, placing third with a score of 225.15, while Margaux McCartney placed sixth in the women's 1-meter event with a score of 316.55 and Katherine Tuttle was eighth with a score of 231.35.
