Program Records Fall on Day Two of SCAC Swim Championships

Collin Vu and Lauren Wheeler each set a new program record on day two of the SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday. The 'Roos continue to swim well overall, with the women in fifth while the men are in fourth place entering Friday night's events.

Vu broke his own school record in the 50 free in prelims on Thursday morning, finishing with a time of 21.69, besting his previous record of 21.80 seconds. The 'Roos got a strong showing in the 200 freestyle relay, with the team of Erik Gentzel, Jake Cole, Tyler Brown, and Vu finishing with a time of 1:29.67 to place fourth. Brown also placed eighth in the 500 freestyle, and Vu finished eighth in the 50 freestyle finals.
